Terms and Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

These terms and conditions apply to all website design and development services provided by Signal Sites ("we", "us", "our") to you ("the client"). By commissioning work from us, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

We provide website design, development, and related services as described in our packages and any agreed project scope. We will deliver the work to a reasonable professional standard and within the timelines discussed at the start of the project.

2. Quotes and Payment

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date they are provided. We require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the remaining balance due before the website goes live. Prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Late payments may incur a fee of 5% per month on the outstanding balance.

3. What We Need From You

To deliver your website on time, we need you to provide content, images, feedback, and approvals within reasonable timeframes. If materials or feedback are delayed by more than 14 days, we may need to adjust the project timeline accordingly. We are not responsible for delays caused by late or incomplete information from the client.

4. Revisions

Each package includes a set number of revision rounds as outlined in our pricing. A revision round means one set of collected feedback, not individual changes sent separately. Additional revisions beyond the included rounds will be quoted separately before any work is carried out.

5. Design and Content

We will design your website based on the information and preferences you provide. Unless otherwise agreed, we may use stock images and placeholder content during development. Final content is your responsibility unless content writing is included in your package.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content, images, or materials you provide to us do not infringe on anyone else's copyright, trademarks, or other rights. We are not liable for any claims arising from content supplied by the client.

6. Ownership and Intellectual Property

Once the project is paid in full, you own the completed website and its content. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio and on our website unless you request otherwise in writing. Any third-party tools, plugins, or fonts used in the build remain subject to their own licence terms.

7. Hosting and Domain

Domain registration and hosting are separate from the website build cost unless a Care Plan is in place. We can advise on suitable hosting providers, but you are responsible for maintaining your own hosting and domain renewal unless we are managing this for you under a Care Plan.

8. Care Plans

Our optional Care Plan covers hosting, security updates, daily backups, and minor content changes as described on our pricing page. Care Plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days written notice. If you cancel your Care Plan, we will provide you with a full copy of your website files and assist with a reasonable handover.

9. Third-Party Services

Your website may include integrations with third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, booking systems, or social media platforms. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for changes, outages, or data handling by third-party providers.

10. Liability

We take care to build websites that work correctly, but we cannot guarantee that your website will be free from all errors or that it will achieve specific business results such as a particular number of enquiries or sales. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total amount you paid for the project.

We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue, data, or any indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of your website.

11. Cancellation

If you wish to cancel a project after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. If we have completed more than 50% of the agreed work, the full project fee is due. We will provide you with any completed work up to the point of cancellation.

We reserve the right to cancel a project if payment terms are not met or if the working relationship becomes unworkable. In this case, you will only be charged for work completed.

12. Confidentiality

We will treat any business information you share with us as confidential and will not share it with third parties without your permission, except where required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website at the time of your project agreement is the version that applies to your project.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
